Background
UNICEF has a growing experience of engaging and working with and on business. There is a strong need to align colleagues on the ambition, programmatic contribution and mechanisms of engaging with business, across the region and across UNICEF areas (Private Fundraising and Partnership, Programme, Operation, Communications and senior management).
The Regional Office of Latin America and the Caribbean of UNICEF (LACRO) will offer a series of virtual sessions to colleagues in Country Offices (~1 session per day), both mandatory and optional. The sessions will target different sections within UNICEF, depending on the agenda (for example, a plenary will be offered to all colleagues potentially involved in business Engagement, while a programmatic session of Nutrition will only target Deputy Representatives, Nutrition and Partnerships colleagues). The sessions would integrate the full modalities of engagement with the private sector (fundraising, advocacy, core assets and expertise, changing business practices, among others) with analysis of both potential prospects and multistakeholder platforms to ensure that we effectively manage the risks that are often intrinsic to our associations with business.
UNICEF is thus on the look for a consultant to design the methodology of the workshop during Q4 2020 and carried out forward by February 2021.
Purpose of the job
Under the guidance of the Private Fundraising and Partnerships Unit of the UNICEF Latin America and the Caribbean office, the selected consultant would support the preparation and coordination of the UNICEF internal workshop for Country Offices in January 2020 (dates TBD) on “Engaging business”.
