The office of the Representative is responsible for robust engagements with stakeholders towards successful delivery of the global mandate of UNODC in Nigeria. As the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, UNODC assists countries in the implementation of various UN conventions and universal instruments related to preventing and controlling drugs, crime, corruption and terrorism. UNODC partners with institutions and organizations to enhance legislation, conduct research, collect and analyze statistics, build and strengthen institutions and capacities through expert advice, dissemination of our tools, publications, and sharing of international good practices. The Executive Assistant is a part of the team that supports the Representative to achieve effective and efficient programme administration in the country.

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Representative, the National UN Volunteer will undertake the following functions: • He/she ensures effective and efficient functioning of the Representative’s office and full confidentiality in all aspects of assignment. • Maintenance of protocol procedures, management of information flow and follow-up on deadlines and commitments made. • He/she works collaboratively with the programme support and operations team offices ensuring information exchange and consistent and timely service delivery. • The Executive Assistant works in close collaboration with UN Agencies and National Authorities to ensure efficient flow of information, actions on instructions, agendas. • Any other duties as assigned.

• Programme support and operations

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. National UN Volunteers are part of the malicious insurance plan.
