Overview

Design and execute a museographic project for the UNESCO World Heritage site.

You have:

  • Professional training (exclusive) - Architect with postgraduate and/or master's degrees in cultural heritage conservation, museology, art history, architecture technology, or higher education.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in heritage conservation, management, and museography development.
  • Experience in directing or coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Teaching and research experience in architecture, general history, museology, art history, and related areas.
  • At least 2 museography projects developed between 2020 and 2025.
  • Experience in developing museological scripts, interpretation plans, and curatorial design.
  • Experience in architectural and structural interventions in heritage buildings with sustainability and accessibility criteria.
  • Experience in valorization of museum and archaeological collections.
  • Documented evidence of successful results in previous projects.
  • Advanced Spanish (required).
  • Knowledge of other foreign languages (desirable).

**OVERVIEW** ------------ Parent Sector : Field Office Duty Station: Paraguay Classification of duty station: \[\[filter12\]\] Standard Duration of Assignement : \[\[filter13\]\] Job Family: Culture Type of contract : Non Staff Level : Level 2 Duration of contract : From 1 to 6 months Recruitment open to : Internal and external candidates Application Deadline (Midnight Paris Time) : 20-NOV-2025 UNESCO Core Values: Commitment to the Organization, Integrity, Respect for Diversity, Professionalism En el marco de la implementación del proyecto de Asistencia Internacional destinado a la contratación de un experto para la elaboración de una propuesta de valorización de la iglesia ubicada en la Misión Jesuítica de la Santísima Trinidad, Sitio del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO, a desarrollarse por la Secretaría Nacional de Turismo de Paraguay en coordinación con la Oficina Regional de la UNESCO en Montevideo, la UNESCO convoca a la contratación de un/a especialista con el fin de diseñar y ejecutar el proyecto museográfico e integral de puesta en valor de la edificación patrimonial indicada, para lo cual la persona seleccionada deberá cumplir con las siguientes funciones y responsabilidades: - Elaborar la conceptualización y plan de interpretación del proyecto. - Desarrollar el guion museológico y la narrativa expositiva. - Diseñar el proyecto curatorial y museográfico (arquitectónico, museográfico y visual de la exhibición). - Elaborar el plan de producción y montaje de la exposición. - Formular el proyecto de intervención arquitectónica y estructural para la puesta en valor de la edificación, incorporando criterios de sostenibilidad y accesibilidad. - Preparar el cómputo métrico, presupuesto detallado y especificaciones técnicas. - Presentar la memoria técnica del proyecto. Formación profesional (excluyente) ● Arquitecto/a con posgrado y/o maestrías en conservación de patrimonio cultural, museología, historia del arte, tecnología de la arquitectura o educación superior. Experiencia profesional ● Mínimo 10 años de experiencia en conservación, gestión patrimonial y desarrollo museográfico. ● Experiencia en dirección o coordinación de equipos técnicos multidisciplinarios. ● Experiencia docente e investigadora en arquitectura, historia general, museología, historia del arte y áreas afines. ● Al menos 2 proyectos museográficos desarrollados entre 2020 y 2025. ● Experiencia en elaboración de guiones museológicos, planes de interpretación y diseño curatorial. ● Experiencia en intervenciones arquitectónicas y estructurales en edificaciones patrimoniales con criterios de sostenibilidad y accesibilidad. ● Experiencia en puesta en valor de colecciones museísticas y arqueológicas. ● Evidencias documentadas de resultados exitosos en proyectos previos. **Habilidades y competencias** - Liderazgo y capacidad de coordinación interinstitucional - Elaboración de proyectos técnicos y culturales con instituciones nacionales e internacionales - Manejo de herramientas digitales de diseño arquitectónico, estructural y museográfico - Producción académica vinculada al patrimonio cultural - Comunicación y trabajo en equipo **Idiomas** - Español avanzado (requerido) - Manejo de otras lenguas extranjeras (deseable) **COMPETENCIES (Core / Managerial)** ------------------------------------ Communication (C) Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement (C) Planning and organizing (C) Teamwork (C) Accountability (C) **Duración del contrato** El contrato tendrá una duración de 90 días corridos con entregas parciales según cronograma acordado. **SELECTION AND RECRUITMENT PROCESS** ------------------------------------- Please note that all candidates must complete an on-line application and provide complete and accurate information.
