Duties and Responsibilities THE ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Section provides the Organization with the direction, management and security of its information and communication activities. The main focus of the Section is to manage ICT activities efficiently and effectively. ICT activities related to this position are: enterprise applications development including the Unit4 Business World (UBW) ERP System; business process automation through modules and functions of UBW; ensure that data and information captured, generated and shared are validated, secured, of high quality and readily accessible through reports, browsers and queries.

The ERP Business Support Analyst is responsible for the creation and maintenance of UBW queries, browsers and reports; assists the ERP Support Team in the adjustment of different aspects of the UBW configuration to meet the requirements of ICAO’s business areas. The incumbent reports to the ERP Support Associate with whom s/he consults on operational and strategic issues.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working under the management of the ERP Support Associate, the ERP Business Support Analyst shall be required to help deliver the following ICT services including but not limited to:

1. Lead the development of HR Process Automation, including pension separation process, pension contribution calculation, medical insurances etc. The solution is to be done through dynamic forms, report building, template creations etc. 2. Lead and train the ERP support team on the development of rerx reports and template documents. 3. Design, develop, test and implement queries, browsers and reports in UBW as per the requirements and specifications provided by the various business areas of ICAO using UBW, particularly Human Resources (HR), Finance (FIN) and Technical Co-operation Bureau (TCB). 4. Carry out business analysis of processes implemented in UBW with the purpose of optimizing and streamlining these processes, ensuring that they are in alignment with ICAO’s rules, procedures and guidelines. 5. Adjust the different aspects of the UBW configuration to meet the requirements of ICAO’s business areas. 6. Design, develop, test and implement dynamic forms in UBW as per the requirements and specifications provided by the various business areas. 7. Provide Tier 2 support to ICAO ERP users. Work with external suppliers for ERP support in resolving system issues. 8. Revise and optimize existing business processes in the UBW ERP system by proposing changes to the configuration, carrying out these configuration changes once accepted and approved, performing preliminary tests of these changes and its related processes and assisting the business areas in testing of the new, enhanced processes. 9. Other duties as feasible and appropriate within the duration of the contract.

Qualifications/special skills Educational background:

A Bachelor degree in computer science or in information systems.

Experience:

  • Seven years (7) of experience in the development, implementation and support of database application systems in a client/server environment and in the administration and management of relational database management systems.
  • Five years of experience using Oracle RDBMS, SQL and PL/SQL and in optimizing Oracle 10g SQL queries and PL/SQL programs.
  • Five years of experience with contemporary ERP Systems or similar large IT systems.
  • Professional experience with the Unit4 Business World ERP system in an international organization.

    Languages Fluent reading, writing and speaking abilities in English.

Working knowledge of a second language of the Organization (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) is desirable.

Additional Information Please note that the monthly rate for Band B varies from $5,097 to $8,122.
