Result of Service With this consultancy, OCHA aims to ensure the adequate capacity and resources in the section to deliver two of the 2021-2022 priorities focusing on strategic communication, reporting & visibility of CBPFs. The CBPF section also expects inputs and contributions to nurturing donor relations and to developing programmatic guidance and enhancing strategic approaches to fund management.

Expected duration The total time allocated for this consultancy is a 4-months full time, from 24 December 2021 to 23 April 2022.

Duties and Responsibilities Under the overall leadership of the Head of Section, and the direct supervision of the Head of Fund Management Support Unit, the incumbent will carry out the following duties: - Manages the process of developing a new CBPFs Annual Report template and updating the process for the preparation of the 2021 Annual Reports to be published in 2022. - Overseeing the project-management of the publication of the CBPFs Annual Reports. - Reviewing and developing the recently introduced Resource Mobilization Plans of the Humanitarian Funds. - Leads the process of revising the advocacy and communications sections of the CBPFs Global Guidelines. - Leads the preparation of the first CBPFs quarterly newsletter (global) and roll out the newly developed CBPFs dashboard (fund level). - Carry out other assignments as tasked by the supervisor.

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: Advanced university degree in political science, social science, public administration, international studies, economics, or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Experience: A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian affairs, emergency preparedness, crisis/emergency relief management, rehabilitation, development, or other related area. Experience in humanitarian financing is desirable. Experience in resource mobilization and partnerships is desirable. Experience in communication is desirable. Humanitarian field experience is desirable. Language: English fluency is required. Advanced writing and verbal communication skills are required.
