UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential. Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone. And we never give up.

For every child, water and sanitation hygiene!

How can you make a difference?

Background/Justification:

The Governments of The Netherlands and Iceland are providing funds to UNICEF for improvement of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in several communities in eight counties of Liberia. Currently, projects are being developed for intervention in the fishing communities of Grandcess, Barclayville city water supply, and health care facilities in Grand Kru County. The interventions require construction and rehabilitation of various WASH facilities, including latrines/flush toilets with septic tanks, water kiosks, water towers, fish washing & processing units, concrete handwashing facilities, soak away pits, borehole drilling, hand-dug well construction, among others.

To carry out these actions, UNICEF is seeking a local civil engineer with at least a Bachelor’s degree and experience in computer-aided designs and drafting (CADD) and MS Excel to prepare technical engineering drawings of WASH facilities as mentioned above, and develop bill of quantities (BOQ) for the construction of each facility. The consultant should have some experience in working with WASH projects and should be able to work from their own space and use their own computers and software.

Purpose of the Assignment:

To prepare twelve sets of engineering drawings (totalof 77) and bill of quantities (total of 12) for various WASH facilities construction in communities and healthcare facilities as indicated below.
