The Forum Spaces and Digital Ecosystem team manages engagement on Forum Spaces, the World Economic Forum’s digital operating system for multi-stakeholder collaboration. The platform enables Centres, initiatives, and partners to scale engagement, leverage data, and amplify collective impact through digital community engagement, applied intelligence, and collaboration tools.

As Forum Spaces continues to scale, success increasingly depends on a strong engagement and operating model that ensures adoption, value realization, service excellence, and governance integrity. To support this next phase, we are seeking an Engagement Lead to lead this unit and act as the bridge between product teams, business operations, Centres, and external partners, ensuring the platform delivers measurable value at scale.

Reporting lines and interactions

The Engagement Lead, Forum Spaces and Digital Ecosystem, reports to the Head of Digital Strategy and Growth.

This role works closely with:

  • Forum Centres, initiatives, and communities
  • External partners and platform users, including the 4IR Network of Affiliate Centres
  • Product Development and Digital Success
  • Global Communications (GCG)

Key responsibilities

Platform Adoption & Development

  • Drive platform adoption and new engagement opportunities across Forum Spaces and the broader digital ecosystem.
  • Lead user and stakeholder pitching, onboarding, and relationship development to expand platform adoption.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of high-quality internal and external initiatives in collaboration with Centre colleagues.
  • Lead digital partnership discussions, from opportunity framing to contract finalization.

Digital Ecosystem Strategy

  • Build and sustain trusted, long-term relationships with Centres and external stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of flagship initiatives and partners.
  • Advise Centres and initiatives on digital engagement and data utilization aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Leverage data and insights to identify product opportunities and inform decision-making across the digital ecosystem.
  • Translate business and user needs into clear requirements and opportunities for product and technology teams.
  • Push alignment between platform innovation and business outcomes, ensuring Forum Spaces meets evolving user needs.
  • Support industry transformation use cases through platform adoption as an interface for data, benchmarking, and applied intelligence.

Team Leadership, Governance & Enablement

  • Be part of driving a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Enable economies of scale by integrating engagement pipelines and shared processes of the wider Digital Business and Growth team to identify and implement partnerships that span complementary digital offerings.
  • Oversee platform governance of Forum Spaces with GCG, ensuring quality, compliance, and reputational integrity.
  • Coordinate closely with Product Development to ensure smooth delivery and communication and oversee user support processes in conjunction with the Digital Success team.

Performance will be assessed on

  • Growth and adoption of Forum Spaces across Centres and initiatives.
  • Ability to expand platform usage and value through high-quality engagement and partnerships.
  • Effectiveness in aligning product innovation with business and user needs.
  • Delivery excellence, stakeholder satisfaction, and team leadership effectiveness.
