Plan has been working in Cox Bazar to respond to the Rohingya refugee influx since 24 September 2017 implementing the following key objectives: 1. Ensure girls and boys affected by the crisis are protected from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation through appropriate prevention and response interventions in line with minimum standards. 2. Reduce the transmission of disease from fees to mouth through the promotion of good hygiene practice and the reduction of health risks related to poor sanitation 3. Restore and increase access to safe quality and inclusive educational opportunities for refugee children and adolescents (girls and boys) affected by the Rohingya crisis.

The role:

EiE Coordinator-ECD will be responsible for the management & implementation of education in emergencies interventions and budget. S/he will manage EiE programs of ECD/Integrated ECD component and services to ensure that the Rohingya and Host community children (3-5 years age) graduate successfully achieving required learning competency. S/He will be also responsible for supporting UNICEF IP’s for rolling out of I-ECD package. The role involves providing educational opportunities and support to children and families to support them to achieve their early stimulation and education goals, as well as supervision of the education programs and services, including relevant documents & data management. The EiE Coordinator will manage relationships with Technical Officers and other volunteers at Rohingya camps and host community as well.

What we’re looking for:

Minimum Masters level educational qualification in ECD, Education, social studies or any relevant subject. Three years of experience in education sector. Experience in humanitarian settings is an essential. INGO work experience is preferred. Comprehensive understanding of the Humanitarian architecture of the Rohingya Response its operating and regulatory environment. Understanding general finance, administration and information management. Knowledge and understanding of Plan’s vision, mission values. In-depth understanding of Child Protection. Ability to effectively work with a variety of people and personalities (internal/external). Communicating, one to one & in groups, written & verbal, presentations and reports in English; knowledge of Bangla would be necessary. Budget management and assessment of financial operations in humanitarian situations. Facilitation, negotiation and networking. Persuasion and ability to influence. Must be computer proficient (MS Office and outlook). Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity. Have experience and the ability to live and work in diverse cultural contexts in a culturally appropriate manner. Has a capacity to make accurate self-assessment particularly in high stress and high security contexts. Good knowledge and understanding of DO NO HARM principles and established education in emergencies standards. Ability to represent the organization at key external and internal events when required. Ability to solve problems, handle setbacks and pressure. Ability to use basic office electronic equipment & computer applications. Fluency in English, written and spoken. Understanding and speaking local language of Cox’s Bazar or Chittagong is an advantage.

Salary Package for this role is BD****T****. 77,145 fixed monthly Cost to the company. Along with other benefits i.e., hospitalization benefit for spouse and children, contributory provident fund, Festival Bonus, leave, group insurance and yearly medical check-up for employee.

Closing Date: 05th Decemeber 2023. Selected candidate will get initially contract up-to December 31, 2024 for this position and highly possibility for extension based on performance.
