Job Title: EFECT Project Manager Location: Monrovia, with frequent travel throughout Liberia Reports to: Liberia Programme Manager Contract Type: Full-Time, 12-month fixed term, renewable
Background:
Street Child is a rapidly growing, child-focused humanitarian and development organisation. In 2023, Street Child celebrated reaching over 1.5 million children across 25 countries in its fifteen years of existence, working through a network of over 200 national and local actors.
Operating in Liberia since 2013, Street Child has supported over 50,000 children to access improved protection and education services. Our $1m program portfolio focuses on addressing barriers to education in Montserrado, Margibi, and Maryland counties, aligning with government priorities.
Street Child is entering the final year of the Education for Every Child Today (EFECT) project, which aims to enrol 13,500 out-of-school children in education in partnership with Educate A Child (EAC). We are seeking an excellent Project Manager to lead delivery of education, child protection, and livelihoods interventions in support of this goal.
Role Purpose:
The EFECT Project Manager will oversee the final-year implementation of the EFECT project, ensuring quality delivery and adaptive programming. Based in Monrovia with frequent travel to project sites, the role supports field teams and collaborates closely with Street Child’s Liberia and global staff to ensure donor compliance and programmatic success.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Project Management – 75%
- Lead planning and monitoring to ensure quality and timely delivery of project activities
- Provide hands-on support to implementation teams across deliverables and MEAL
- Support improved data analysis and development of remediation plans
- Train and guide field teams on tools and programme documentation
- Collaborate with finance to manage project budgets and activity spending
- Consolidate narrative and financial reporting; provide feedback to teams
- Lead stakeholder engagement, building strong relationships with key Ministries
2) Reporting – 20%
- Prepare and contribute to donor narrative and MEAL reports
- Support and review project financial reports
- Ensure donor compliance throughout project lifecycle
- Document and share project stories for advocacy and learning
3) Other – 5%
- Represent Street Child internally and externally
- Coordinate visits from staff, stakeholders, and donors as needed
- Demonstrate commitment to Street Child’s vision, mission, and values
- Follow all organisational policies and procedures
- Undertake other responsibilities in line with the role
Person Specification:
Experience and Knowledge:
