This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

Description of task

Under the direct supervision of the Education Specialist, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

- Support the coordination of the Education Sector

- Provide translation support to the Education Sector as needed

- Support the Education Sector in routine tasks such as developing reports and data management

- Represent the Education Sector coordination in Libya when the Sector coordinator and co-coordinator are not in country

- Support the UNICEF Education Section in the implementation of inclusive education programming in all phases of the project cycle (writing proposals, project management, reporting).

Strong communication skills in Arabic and English, oral and written

Experience in Education in Emergencies and other education-related experience (teaching, working with Ministry of Education, etc.)

Experience in working with NGOs, INGOs or youth groups

Project management experience

Language skills
