Support the implementation of education emergency response activities.

You have:

  • Support the implementation of education and PSS activities for Libyan and non-Libyan children and adolescents.
  • Assist in NRC Better Learning Programme (BLP).
  • Manage relationships with education technical assistants and incentive teachers.
  • Implement outreach activities and non-formal education classes.

Position: Education Project Officer

Reports to: Education in Emergency Project Manager

Supervision of: Education Technical Assistants (without line management)

Duty station: Dernah

Travel % At minimum regular travel to field locations 4 days a week.

  1. Role and responsibilities

The Project Officer will support the education emergency response implementing education and PSS activities for both Libyan and non-Libyan children and adolescents (formal and non-formal education) under supervision of the Education Project Manager. Activities include but not limited to; NRC Better Learning Programme (BLP), teacher professional development, non-formal education classes, adolescent girls/boys clubs, outreach activities.

The Project Officer will support the day-to-day implementation of activities according to work plans and support project technical assistants and incentive teachers in line with programme objectives.
