NRC is looking for an Education Project Manager to join the Myanmar mission. The role holder will be responsible for the implementation of the Education project portfolio in the North-West.

If you are an influential people leader; with diplomatic negotiation skills; and a track record in directing youth education projects, leading people, and managing budgets, then this is the role for you! **This position is open to Myanmarese / Burmese Nationals only**

What You Will Do

  • Education portfolio management (efficient use of financial resources in line with strategies/proposal/ donor requirements; timely and accurate monitoring and evaluation, indicator tracking, and donor reporting; development of funding proposals and budgets; contribute to donor reporting; and consolidate and integrate lessons learnt).
  • Programme Implementation (project implementation; budget management; complimentary programming with other thematic areas; ensuring monitoring and evaluation; continuous improvement and lessons learnt; providing technical direction; ensuring quality programming; and compliance with reporting).
  • Proposal Development & Strategy (education strategic planning, program development, proposals, and budgets).
  • Team Management (provision of technical advice, skills transfer, and capacity building).
  • Partnership Management (liaising and collaborating with authorities and stakeholders; represent the organization in external coordination forums/clusters/working groups; identify new partners; build and maintain relationships; support in objectives, compliance, and programme quality; provide technical advice; and capacity building).

What You Will Bring

  • Senior-level project management and implementation experience position in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Technical Education thematic area expertise.
  • Youth programmes and responses, and emergency education experience.
  • Budget management proficiency.
  • Analytically inclined, with demonstrated ability to synthesise multiple data points.
  • Complex, and volatile context exposure.
  • North-West Myanmar context exposure and knowledge.
  • English fluency, both written and verbal.
