How can you make a difference?

The Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting.

Position 1 – Dhaka, Education Officer

This Education Officer (NOB) is in line with the strategic shifts to increase upstream support to the national government agencies to strengthen institutional capacity for delivering quality education services with a minimal service delivery work. This post will support the implementation of the overall direction of national level support for early learning and school readiness through the PEDP4 and relevant PPE institutions.

Position 2 – Dhaka, Education Officer

This Education Officer (NOB) will contribute to the co-leading of the Education cluster and is responsible for coordination and operationalizing the activities of the education cluster at the national level. It also contributes to the implementation of a resilience programme to withstand economic and climate-related shocks and stressors.

Position 3 – Sylhet, Education Officer

Under the supervision of the Chief Field Office and the technical guidance of the Chief of Education, the Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects including education in emergency within the Country Programme from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • A university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, psychology, sociology or another relevant technical field.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in education is required.
  • Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
  • Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language or local language of the duty station is considered as an asset.
