Purpose for the job:

Under the supervision of Education Specialist, the Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and coordination of for education programmes/projects within Cox’s Bazar with special attention to Bhasan Char. She/he shall ensure programme coordination, programme development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme delivery as well as timely and coordinated reporting.

• Sector coordination of education activities
• Support to programme development and planning
• Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results
• Technical and operational support to programme implementation
• Networking and partnership building
• Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

• A university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, psychology, sociology or another relevant technical field.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in education is required.
• Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
• Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
