You have:
- A university degree from an accredited educational institution in education, international development/relations, social/political sciences, or related fields.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in project management/implementation/monitoring/reporting in the Education sector or related fields with a Bachelor degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project management/implementation/monitoring/reporting in the Education sector or related fields with a Master degree.
- An advanced university degree (Master or equivalent) from an accredited educational institution in education, international development/relations, social/political sciences, or related fields is desirable.
- Working experience in the Middle East is desirable.
- Experience with INGO(s)/UN Agencies and/or in the field of humanitarian assistance/international development is desirable.
- Knowledge of Arabic is not mandatory but desirable.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Effective communication and coordination skills are required.
- Proven ability to identify priority activities and assignments.
- Proven critical thinking, creativity and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to operate in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with colleagues and others in a team environment.
- Respect for diversity and adaptability are essential.
- Proficiency in computer applications including Internet, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations is required.
Result of Service The following conditions are to be observed:
- Monthly remuneration will be on a monthly basis, amounting to approximately USD 1,300, where the final amount will be dependent on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
Payment will be released on submission of a monthly attendance sheet.
Work Location UNRWA HQ(Amman)
Expected duration The position will run on a full-time basis from 21st March to 20th October 2022.
Duties and Responsibilities In accordance with the Agency policy and procedures, the Education in Emergency Assistant Programme Manager will have the following duties:
a. Contribute to the drafting of progress reports and modification requests for the Education in Emergency programme; b. Support with the monitoring and evaluation of Education in Emergency programme activities and consequent programme adjustments as required; c. Assist in the general grant (re)planning and coordination with Field Offices, including in the preparation, delivery and note-taking of meetings and events; d. Support with necessary research and analysis on Education in Emergency-related topics and contribute to the development of talking points, meeting and research briefs, and reports or project proposals, need-based; e. Support with the implementation of the Education in Emergency Programme’s visibility plan; f. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications/special skills A- Minimum requirements
Academic Qualifications: A university degree from an accredited educational institution in education, international development/relations, social/political sciences, or related fields;
Experience: Experience in project management/implementation/ monitoring/reporting, ideally in the Education sector or related fields of minimum 4 years combined with a Bachelor Degree, or of minimum 2 years combined with a Master Degree;
B- Desirable qualifications
An advanced university degree (Master or equivalent) from an accredited educational institution in education, international development/relations, social/political sciences, or related fields;
- Working experience in the Middle East;
- Experience with INGO(s)/UN Agencies and/or in the field of humanitarian assistance/international development;
- Knowledge of Arabic (not mandatory).

Additional Information Reporting Structure
The Education in Emergency Assistant Programme Manager will be based in the Education Department at UNRWA HQ in Amman. S/he will work under the administrative supervision of the Senior Education Programme Specialist. In terms of task follow-up, s/he will receive guidance and supervision from the Education in Emergency Programme Manager.
