In undertaking this task, focusing on a series of 8 fact sheets (of about 4-5 pages) and case studies, the Online Volunteers should: 1. Review the text and ensure accuracy in the use of the English language (spelling, punctuation, semantics) and grammatical style by re-writing any unclear sentences, run-on sentences, and in general parts of the text that are not well-written. 2. Ensure consistency of style throughout the publication 3. Ensure that the text adheres to the United Nations language style

    UN DESA/DPIDG has prepared a series of fact sheets and case studies on how countries are designing and implementing institutional arrangements for policy coherence. The Online Volunteers would provide support in editing the language by ensuring that there are no grammatical errors and that the documents are concise and well written in accordance with the UN style.

  • Volunteers: 2 needed

  • 6-10 hours per week / 6 weeks

    Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in editorial work, including copy-editing reports and research papers, preferably in subject areas covered by the United Nations. He/she should possess excellent writing skills in the English language and have a degree in English language or equivalent experience.
