This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

Under UN Women China’s current project Women in Motion aims to promote women migrant workers’ access to decent work in Guangdong province, a set of TOT training modules have been developed to be used to strengthen the skills of women working in factories, based on their needs identified at an early stage of the project. These modules are 1) communication skills, 2) representation skills, 3) laws and policies related to women workers’ rights, and 4) industry-specific knowledge, including textile, automobile, and ICT industries.

Also, three guidelines have been developed for employers to enhance their gender-responsive practices. These include 1) family-friendly policies, 2) education and training for women, and 3) promoting women’s leadership.

These modules will be used in the capacity development sessions for women workers and employers.

UN Women China is looking for support to proofread (and edit, as deemed necessary) the training modules in English translated by partners, so they can serve a wider audience internationally. To that end, UN Women China intends to collaborate with Online Volunteers through this online assignment for proofreading support.

We are looking for 6 Online Volunteers to support us in copyediting and proofreading the following 4 modules and 3 guidelines in English (translated from Chinese):
