In the past period UNICEF Country Office (CO) North Macedonia supported the development of seven products (evaluation, analysis, studies, research) in different sections (child rights monitoring, climate change, social protection, health) with engagement of local/regional consultants who are not native English speaker. Some of the products have been developed in local language (Macedonian) and translated by translators who are not native English speakers. One product is Legislation Review of the current laws/bylaws in relation to the Convention on the Right of the Child. Another product is evaluation report of a program on empowering children and young people to engage in addressing issues related to climate change through experiential learning. The third document is Situational Analysis of the children and adolescents in North Macedonia and the realization of their rights. The fourth document is data and analytical product that compiles available statistical and administrative data on children. The other four documents are related to health and social protection and are related to functional analysis of immunization services (health), centers for social work, child guarantee and gap analysis of services for children (social protection).

Expected start date of the collaboration is September 1, 2024.

Provide professional quality proofreading. More than one volunteer can be engaged for different documents. Agreements on daily and weekly work will be agreed upon per volunteer/s and assignment/s. The documents will be shared via email once volunteers are selected. Each document has different number of pages: 1. Demographic Profile of Children in the Republic of North Macedonia – 77 pages (26 tables and 55 charts included) 2. Evaluation Report – Empowering children and young people - approx. 70 pages 3. Review of Legislation Framework Concerning Children – 156 pages 4. Situational Analysis of Children and Adolescents in the Republic of North Macedonia – to be prepared by mid-September 5. Functional Analysis of the Immunization Services - 56 pages 6. Functional Analysis of the Centers for Social Work - 57 pages 7. Child Guarantee Analysis - to be prepared by end of September 8. Gap Analysis for Services for Children - approx. 60 pages

The candidate/s is expected to have background/knowledge and experience in one or more areas of the documents that are subject to the task: health, child rights monitoring, social protection.

For one of the documents, it is expected that the volunteer has background in law as the document is dealing with legislation.
