Tripoli - Libya

Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified Economic recovery Officer who will be responsible for the daily operation of DRC’s economic recovery activities aimed at protecting and delivering assistance to Libyan IDPs, vulnerable local non-displaced populations and migrants and refugees as per the scope of relevant project.

About the job

The Economic recovery officer will liaise with DRC staff across departments and implementing partners to ensure compliance with economic recovery SOPs and the maintenance of SOP-compliant records during programming as directed by the Team leader/Programme Manager. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Conducting households level vulnerability assessments for beneficiary identification for cash projects
  • Support the Team leader in the assessment of sites suitable for cash-for-work activities requiring light rehabilitation and improvement
  • Distribute assistance and entitlements to CVA and CfW project beneficiaries in a dignified manner
  • Oversee daily activities and progress of activities at cash-for-work sites
  • Contribute to other assessments as required including monthly market monitoring

About you

Required

  • At least 2 years professional experience in Economic recovery programming including cash and voucher assistance and cash for work activities
  • Good level of computer literacy;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good communication channels with relevant stakeholders

Desirable

  • Experience in the field of social work, humanitarian intervention, community development, or any other relevant field is desirable;
  • Previous experience working with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and local communities is desirable;
