Project Background

Ahlan Simsim:

Children and their families living in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria have been exposed to levels of adversity that threaten their development and jeopardize the future prosperity and stability of the societies in which they live. Research shows that the development of basic skills can help promote resiliency and, for the most vulnerable children, help mitigate the negative effects of conflict and crisis. But such care and education are unavailable to many children. Ahlan Simsim’s theory of change is based on the idea that Sesame Workshop’s signature culturally relevant, localized production approach, with its engaging Muppets and other elements, coupled with the International Rescue Committee’s (IRC’s) expertise in delivering services to people affected by conflict and crisis, will enable the creation of a scalable, replicable intervention for early childhood programming to help a generation of conflict-affected children achieve their developmental potential.

Consultancy Purpose -------------------

Jordan Team is working during 2022 in close partnership with MoH specifically the Health Communication and Awareness Department to raise the awareness through social media tools about the tobacco control and the healthy lifestyle and the impact of both on the maternal and child health. This consultancy aims to find a quality service by a consultant to design short movies for the awareness purposes, design and produce high quality short movies animation life pictures completely ready for broadcasting.

Major Responsibilities:

The consultant will undertake the following responsibilities:

1. Communicate with Health Communication and Awareness Department HCAD lead to learn about the awareness needs and the available content, get sample for the tools as benchmark for standards or quality required

2. Design and product short movies animation life pictures completely read for broadcasting in high quality

Key Working Relationships:

· Position Reports to: ECD Coordinator

Deliverables and payment schedule

IRC we process the 4 payments 1,300 JoD each and after the consultant delivers 10 videos to HCAD and answering the comments and notes.

Level of Effort

The consultant will require 2 days to deliver one video or product no other consultation needed and in close coordination with HCAD.

Length of Work

Production of 3 videos every week and for the period March – July 2022, total of 40 videos.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

1. University Degree in Graphic Design, computer science, IT, or related field.

2. Knowledge and familiarity using image, graphics and video authoring tools like adobe Photoshop, illustrator, after effect.

3. Full experience in filming, editing and directing short videos

4. Full experience on animation production short films

5. Has the flexibility to arrange the time and location with HCAD

6. Has the needed equipment and supplies required for the videos production.
