Information technology is an integral part of the strategic initiatives for all the Core Business Functions at IFC. Corporate Information Technologies (CIT) Teams provide comprehensive IT support for IFC's Investment & Advisory Services, Financial Operations, Treasury & the Asset Management Company. There is a rich and diverse landscape of business applications that encompass a wide variety of In-house and Customized COTS products which meets the business needs of IFC.

Position Overview:

The QA Tester will provide assistance with all testing and documentation of applications and programs to ensure they are completed in a timely manner within budgetary guidelines mutually agreed upon with project/ delivery manager. The incumbent will be expected to consistently produce high quality results that meet business needs, while assuring the analysis, design, and development are based upon requirements and desired functionality defined by the business and produces quality results that meet business objectives and timelines. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of highly skilled, diverse, and technical professionals and contribute to the department priorities. The position is a renewable based on the performance of the candidate.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop, maintain, and implement System/UAT testing strategy, test plans, requirement traceability matrix, test processes, test scenarios, and test cases. • Identify application functionalities and test cases that can be automated and some knowledge on automation scripting. • Train WB staff to use Test automation suites/ products, such as selenium. • Guide and review the Document Standards and Guidelines for scripting • Provide leadership, training, guidance, support and “best practices” experience for definition and implementation of the QA process to the Project Manager’s and QA team members across the portfolio • Reconcile data between source and target systems as part of data migration testing and production cut over • Communicate with Business/Systems Analysts and Developers to understand/clarify requirements • Participate in Quality Audit reviews and audits of project activities and work products to ensure compliance with documented plans, procedures, and standards • Participate in systems requirement reviews and team meetings • Participate in collection and review of quantitative data related to software testing and development activities for measurement and analysis • Identify, report, and manage defects in defect tracking system and communicate risks to Project team • Provide regular updates to the Test/Project Manager • Provide testing status reports per Project requirements and provide input to the Project Plans and Processes • Should be an individual contributor and work well in a team setup • Well versed in Agile Delivery Methodology

Selection Criteria

• Role Specific Experience: 7+ years of QA, in web-based manual and automation testing • Extensive experience in financial technology and Banking & Financial domain experience, along with knowledge of investment banking, Portfolio accounting systems, and trading application • High level of maturity to guide and select procedures that add value to the quality of the functionalities. • Experience with software test suites like Selenium, TFS, Jira, ALM etc. (a plus) • Must be organized and good at managing deliverables, meeting notes, presentations, and other documentation/communications. Knowledge on SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
