CIT is part of the integrated WBG IT function (Information and Technology Solutions-ITS) that provides IT services to IBRD, IFC and MIGA. It is also part of IFCs Corporate Strategy & Resources VPU. CIT develops and maintains applications in support of core IFC operations, including knowledge and data analytics services. In addition, CIT partners with other ITS units through Shared Services Agreements to provide infrastructure, connectivity, information security and staff productivity tools, as well as develop applications that are common across the organizations. CIT works with business clients to design solutions that help enable client responsiveness, improve organizational effectiveness, and manage risks. CIT provides IFC with an integrated digital platform that connects policies, processes, people, and knowledge across the institution in a holistic and staff-centric manner. CIT leverages innovative technologies to help transform the way IFC does its business.

The CITDR Cross Cutting Support team is a compliance function that ensures sound management best practices are enforced across all IT development and maintenance initiatives. It is also part of the IFC’s CIO front office responsible for the Helpdesk, IT Risk Management covering the areas of Control & Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Release Management. This position will sit in the Central Quality Assurance (CQA) team and report to the CQA team lead. CQA seeks a highly motivated and versatile tester with strong testing and analytical skills to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of skilled, diverse, and technical professionals and contribute to IFC’s priorities. The position will be based in Chennai India.

Duties and Accountabilities:

Their responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Reviewing project plans, which includes validating that key testing tasks and the associated schedules - are captured in the broader project plan to support the delivery of high-quality products • Creating test artifacts • Conducting hands-on testing • Conducting impact analyses to clearly define the scope of testing • Engaging with the Operations (CITOP) and Finance Portfolio (CITFN) QA leads, to ensure that CIT -department wide IT initiatives are tested holistically • Working with the Operations (CITOP) and Finance Portfolio QA leads to promote continuous improvements in CIT software testing practices • Promoting the use of test automation on all QA engagements • Reviews portfolio QA team’s test artifacts and deliverables, including test strategy documents, test scenarios, test cases, test execution reports and defect status reports. • Is responsible for verifying that the portfolio team’s (including vendor) testing has adequate coverage, including the traceability of test scenarios to the key business requirements • Validates that portfolio QA test execution including the execution of functional, integration, end to end, regression, sanity, and performance tests meet pre-production environment entry criteria. • Performs regression testing in the pre-production environment • Tracks defects all through to resolution. Making sure defect resolution timelines do not negatively impact the project schedule • Is responsible for ensuring that the exit criteria for go-live as defined by the CQA team lead are met. • Interfaces with portfolio business analysts, project managers and application support teams to clarify requirements and surface any risks or showstoppers in a timely fashion • Works closely with the CQA performance testing team to verify that all non-functional requirements are tested and exit criteria met.

Selection Criteria

Minimum Education/Experience:

• Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree with about 5 years relevant experience.

Required Competencies:

• Testing Tools and Techniques – Has experience conducting different types of functional and nonfunctional tests. Also has experience working with testing tools like Azure DevOps Test Module, and automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, etc. • Test Planning and Documentation - Has experience creating test strategies, indicating test approach, timelines, defect management, entry and exit criteria etc. Is proficient at creating clear and concise defect reports • Critical Thinking – Able to review requirements and identify requirements that are vague, untestable or should be broken down into smaller requirements. Able to challenge BAs and other stakeholders to provide clarity thus enabling the delivery of a quality product • Agile and DevOps – Has experience delivering QA services in an agile development environment. QA experience within a DevSecOps environment is a plus • Learning Orientation - Stays abreast of new trends and developments in the QA space, the broader industry, and experiments with new approaches or emerging technological solutions in software testing. • Certifications - Test Automation and ISTQB Certifications are a huge plus.
