ITS Vice Presidency Context:

Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) enables the WBG to achieve its mission of ending extreme poverty and promote shared prosperity in a sustainable way by delivering transformative information and technologies to its staff working in over 150 locations.

Our vision is to transform how the Bank Group accomplishes its mission through information and technology. In this fast-paced, ever-changing world, the formulation and implementation of the ITS strategy is an ongoing, iterative process of learning and adaptation developed through extensive consultations with business partners throughout the World Bank Group.

ITS shapes its strategy in response to changing business priorities and leverages new technologies to achieve three high-level business outcomes: business enablement, by providing Bank Group units with innovative digital tools and technologies to transform how they deliver value for their clients; empowerment & effectiveness, by ensuring that all Bank Group staff are connected, able to find information, and productive to accelerate the delivery of development solutions globally; and resilience, by equipping the Bank Group to provide risk-based cybersecurity and robust data protection for a global network and a growing cloud platform.

WBG Finance (ITSFI) is responsible for providing high quality, streamlined information and technology solutions for the World Bank’s Financial services, which include Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Controls, Treasury, Loans, Accounting, and Concessional finance (managing donor contributions from inception to the point of final disbursement, including IDA, Financial Intermediary Funds and Trust Funds). ITSFI is additionally responsible for building its IT services using a shared platform that provides scale, leverage, reliability, and control while at the same time improving responsiveness to emerging business needs. This position is within WBG Risk Management and Analytics (ITSRA), the division of ITSFI responsible for IT services for all World Bank Group Risk Management functions across multiple vice presidencies in IBRD and IFC.

The Program Manager will be expected to: • Ensure project timelines are prepared and agreed with all the stakeholders • Track and compile project status reports by gathering and analyzing information • Follow ITS standard documentation templates and format for creating project status and update report(s). • Manage and co-ordinate the action items and the next steps for each of these projects • Assists in preparing project governance documents and funding requests • As a multinational, multicultural institution, success at WBG requires the ability to negotiate and facilitate trade-offs and build consensus and commitment to a recommended direction among multiple stakeholders, with broadly divergent frames of reference. The candidate must also embrace and foster respect for all, including diversity in age, gender and national origin. • In addition, the successful candidate must possess the highest personal and professional integrity, as demonstrated through strong personal values, as well as consistent words and actions. He or she must build and sustain strong collegial working relationships with other units of the IFC and the World Bank Group, and be comfortable approaching others assertively, responsibly and supportively. Specific Responsibilities include: • Function as the primary liaison between ITSRA and its business counterparts • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of ITSRA business area and application systems, including Investment Credit Risk Platform (IRP), Credit Watchlist (CWL), Collateral Management System (CMS), Equity Portfolio Management System - Valuation Module (EPMS VM), of applications and other Risk applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Create and maintain the project plans for all the projects in investment and credit risk domain. - Clearly highlight the dependencies and risks for each of the projects - Co-ordinate among various stakeholders including BAs, QAs, Developers, various IT services teams like Database, Windows, Unix, ETL, Desktop administrators, OIS, Networking, EA, ICFR,CAB, and more to follow through the dependencies. - Maintain and track the outstanding items/action items for each of these projects. - Prepare status reports and updates on a weekly basis. - Communicate the status to business users and IT management. - Lead the identification and documentation of business metrics. - Managing project documentation in compliance with Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICFR) requirements - Compiling monthly status reports for presentation to business unit leads and the Corporate Risk Committee

Selection Criteria

- At a minimum, a bachelors degree in Finance, Computer Science , Engineering or related field; A masters level degree in Information Systems is preferred. - Minimum of 9 years relevant experience in providing IT-enabled solutions to financial institutions. - Certifications in these PMP, SAFe Agile, ITIL 4 and up-to-date, best practice experience with Program/Project Management. - Proven business judgment: Ability to distinguish between what is and is not critical, and to balance both strategic and short-term issues. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Highest ethical standards. - Personal Integrity & Effectiveness, demonstrated commitment to teamwork. - Attach the TOR below OR you may insert the selection criteria here.
