You have:
- Minimum of Masters’ degree in public policy, international relations, or a related field
- At least 10 years’ senior strategy or public policy experience
- At least eight years’ operations experience
- At least seven years’ trust fund management experience, preferably in the World Bank Group
- Project management experience and/or accreditation is preferred
- Knowledge of World Bank Group, specifically IFC, operational policies, procedures, and systems
- Knowledge and experience of disaster/crisis preparedness and disaster risk management
- Excellent report writing skills and the ability to draft presentations, talking points, briefings, and other written communication.
- Experience working across the WBG and demonstrates ability to support teams in developing an integrated point of view around development challenges.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and diplomatic skills is required
- Experience in donor relations would be an advantage
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and comfortable working in a fast-paced and pressured environment with tight deadlines
- Experience designing and implementing learning events, knowledge dissemination programs, and other events

IFC’s Strategy and Operations Management Department (CSM) provides strategic, policy and operational guidance across IFC. Under CSMDR, the Corporate Policies and Procedures Unit (CSMPP) supports the timely development of fit-for-purpose IFC policies and procedures (P&Ps), manages the IFC P&Ps Framework and Governance - including compliance with annual reviews, oversees the IFC P&P Repository, and coordinates with the WBG P&Ps Administrator. CSMPP is looking for a senior, dynamic, adaptable, high-performing ETC with a good understanding of IFC, its organization, and its mission to support the delivery of some of the Unit’s work program and that of the CSM department. The ETC will support work in areas including policies and procedures, the Evolution Roadmap and strategies, and trust fund management. This work will involve deep collaboration across multiple departments of the institution. The ETC will report to the CSMPP Lead.
Duties & Responsibilities: The role will have accountabilities in a number of areas including: • IFC policies, procedures, and guidance: lead the review of existing business processes to identify gaps/issues that need addressing; and lead the development, reviews, consultation, and launch of IFC policies, procedures, and guidance, to facilitate innovation, efficiencies, and increased effectiveness across IFC operations. • Strategy: lead or support the development and implementation of new initiatives under the Evolution Roadmap process – including supporting the operationalizing of the Crisis Preparedness Toolkit. • Trust Funds: assist the IFC Trust Fund Operations unit with the delivery of trust fund and operational progress and completion reports and support ad-hoc requests related to development partner or donor engagements, as needed. • Project Management: provide operational, project management, change management, and strategic support to the Director and the department, including leading or supporting corporate initiatives, business planning and work program preparation; contributing to reviews of cross Department reports and strategies; and program monitoring and reporting. • In addition, the ETC may be required to lead the preparation of briefs and other briefing materials for management and external audiences. • This role will involve supervising junior staff and consultants, as needed.
