The mission of the Corporate Information Technologies Department (CIT) is to leverage technology to enable IFC’s strategic priorities and to support IFC’s business and operations. By acting as the technology partner and business enabler, the department provides state-of-art information and technology solutions to support IFC’s operations

CIT is looking for a highly motivated and versatile IT Business Analyst with strong business analytical and technical skills to join the team. This position is based in Washington DC.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Identify and document business requirements, prioritize based on business needs and other on-going projects, avoid overlaps across projects and coordinate with World Bank Group wide project teams as needed. • Assess overall project requirements, business needs, pain points and areas of process improvement. • Conduct business process analysis meetings with business users and document system processes in detail in diagrammatic and textual format. • Strong ability in documenting business requirements and User stories for them. • Participate substantively in testing the functionality of systems being developed to determine whether requirements captured and approved are being met. Lead peer reviews and contribute to the development of test plans and participates in post-implementation reviews. • Assist the project manager in different project management activities. • Participate in the evaluation of new products or services. • Become an expert of existing systems and processes. • Coordinate and run production support.

Selection Criteria

• Master's degree with 5 years relevant experience or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Banking Operations, Finance or Computer Science. • Experience in requirements collection and interviewing capabilities, strong analytical skills to critically evaluate gathered information, and high proficiency in the development of business/technical requirements documentation for large-scale information systems. • Experience in the design, development, and implementation of large systems. • Strong proven experience in banking operations (including non-financial risk) and/or client engagement. • Proven experience in working as a techno functional business analyst in an agile environment. • Experience with software tools used in requirements and software development as well as those used for the client relationship management. • Good project management skills and experience.
