Drive and maintain project vehicles for safety and efficiency.
You have:
- Motor Mechanic Certificate (MVM) + 2 years relevant experience or Motor Vehicle Technician (MVT) 1/2 + at least 2 years relevant experience.
- Professional drivers license (B or C) for at least 2 years, preferably experience with a 4 wheel drive.
- Ability to undertake general servicing of vehicles and diagnose faults, preferably on diesel engines.
- Ability to conduct minor repairs on vehicles.
- Ability to write reports (basic).
- Ability to communicate clearly in English.

Key Responsibilities:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Sustaining Gains in Elimination of NTDs in Ghana project by ensuring proper usage, regular maintenance and repairs of the project vehicle for high performance and to undertake driving assignments within and outside the project areas as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance of all project vehicles and motorbikes
- Drive project staff, partners and visitors to, from and within the project as and when required.
- Maintain log books and report regularly to Project Manager on the performance of all vehicles and motorbikes in the project.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs where applicable and advice Project Coordinator and staff on the repairs of vehicles and motorbikes.
- Assist in the recovery of broken down vehicles.
- Give technical assistance and coordinate the procurement of genuine vehicle parts for maintenance and repairs.
- Give technical guidance to other vehicle users to polish driving skills and unsure the safe use of the vehicles.
- Ensure that project vehicles are clean and have all the requisite safety gargets such as fire extinguishers, dusters, basic tools and equipment and also valid road worthy certificates and insurance.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
- The following may be acquird through a combination of formal or self-education, prio experience or on-the-job training.

Working Environment / Conditions:
- Work environment: Filed-based
- Travel: 40 % Domestic/international travel is required.
- On call: 5%
