The incumbent shall: - Drive the UNESCO staff, officials, visitors and authorized personnel using official vehicle. - Ensure provision of reliable and safe driving services. Meet official personnel and visitors at the airport and other venues as per instruction when requires. Facilitate basic visa and custom formalities. Drive vehicle on the field trips, as required.​​​​​​​ - Ensure cost-savings through proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through daily service log, timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes and water levels and car washing so the vehicle is keept clean and in good runing conditions at all times. Alert and provide inputs to preparetion of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports, etc. Make the necessry arrangements for the vehicle inspection and maintenance and repairs at the official designated workshop; check the vehicle prior to and after the workshop visit. - Ensure availability of all required documents and supplies, including vehicle insurance, vehicle registration, vehicle log, office directory, map of the city/country, first aid kit, and necessary spare parts in the assigned vehicle; keep track of insurance and any other formalities. Ensure timely, accurate an correct reporting of accidents. Follow and assist in the installation and use the HF, VHF radio and satellite phone in the vehicle. - Deliver and collect mail and documents and other items as required.
