Provide transportation and support services for IFC staff and visitors.

You have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of driving experience, preferably with international organizations; defensive driving skills are an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Kyiv and surrounding areas is desirable.
  • English language proficiency is desirable.
  • Valid driving license (type B).
  • Safe Driving Record Certification: strong commitment to road safety. Must provide a proven track record of safe, skillful driving or equivalent references.
  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work long hours, including weekends.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural, fast-paced environment; experience with an international organization is preferable.
  • Medical Certification: shall pass a pre-employment medical examination by a licensed medical provider before beginning work as a driver. Thereafter shall undergo a medical examination, including an eye exam, every two years, irrespective of age; after returning to work following a serious illness or hospitalization.
  • Having a permission to cross the border is a plus.

IFC is seeking to hire a Driver for its Ukraine operations. The Driver will provide transportation services to IFC staff, consultants, and visiting missions, as well as perform administrative and logistical duties to support the smooth operation of the IFC office. The role also includes ad hoc support with protocol services in Ukraine. Duties and accountabilities :

• Provide transportation for IFC staff, consultants, and visiting missions to meetings, field trips, and railway station (airport) pick-up and drop-off. Assist passengers with luggage. Escort passengers to trains, check-in desks. • Drive the CO staff to/from official functions ensuring safety of passengers while in transit and adhering to road safety regulations. Ensure reporting any accidents to the supervisor while making sure that the steps required by the World Bank Group regulations are taken in case of involvement in the accident. • Deliver mail and other documents within and around the office area. • Be responsible for daily proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle, perform minor repairs and arrange regular maintenance service at the station, ensure that the vehicle is kept clean. • Maintain logbook for the assigned vehicle by recording mileage, trips, purchases of gasoline/oil and promptly reporting to the supervisor any problems or defects noticed in operating the assigned vehicle. • Assist with other administrative and logistical duties as required. • Provide ad hoc support with protocol services in Ukraine.
