The IFC Rabat, Morocco office is looking to recruit a Driver. This position reports to the Maghreb Country Manager David Tinel.

Duties and Accountabilities

• Drive office vehicle for the transportation of IFC personnel and for the delivering and collecting of mail and other documents, including bill deposits, press releases, etc.

• Responsible for pickup, drop off and transportation of visiting missions at the airport while following all the safety and security procedures of the Country Office to mitigate any security risks always Follow the road safety procedures and the Country Office traffic regulations.

• Ensure that the car documents (car license and insurance policy) are up to date and kept for display in the office car.

• Responsible for routine maintenance of vehicle, such as checking oil, water, breaks and tires. Follow up on regular car maintenance, report problems and maintains files of routine maintenance and vehicle repairs.

• Responsible for day-to-day logging of trips and fuel consumption

• Ensure that the office vehicles are always clean, including the engine compartment.

• Responsible for pickup, drop off and transportation of visiting missions at the airport while following all the safety and security procedures of the Country Office to mitigate any security risks.

• Responsible for coordinating reporting steps in case of car accidents with the office administrator.

• In coordination with ACS staff, responsible for delivering, follow-up, facilitation, and collection of entrance visas requests, UNLPs, residence visas and diplomatic IDs for International staff and renewal of vehicles licenses.

• Act as a backup for the Receptionist when needed.

• Act as backup for WB driver when needed.

• Always Follow the road safety procedures and the Country Office traffic regulations

• Responsible for routine maintenance of vehicle, such as checking oil, water, breaks and tires.

• Ensure that vehicles are always properly equipped with spare tires, tool kits, jacks, wheel spanners, tow ropes, jump leads, fan belts, fire extinguishers and first aid toolboxes.

• Any other administrative duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Country Manager, Country Officer, Finance Analyst or the Program/Team Assistants (including the day-to-day tasks with the foreign affairs department and the office local bank).

Selection Criteria

• Minimum of secondary school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 5 years driving experience; defensive driving skills training will be an advantage.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Fluency in French (spoken and written), English knowledge will be an advantage.

• Good knowledge of the city of Rabat, Casablanca, and other surrounding areas.

• Good driving record references.

• Proactive, takes ownership, mature, flexible personality.

• Team player, good people skills, ability to work with people from different countries, and a strong client focus.
