You have:

- Driving categories B, C & D vehicles (Heavy Goods Vehicles) is desirable.

Contract
This is a G-3 contract. This kind of contract is known as General Service and related categories. It is normally only for nationals. It usually requires 3 years of experience, depending on education. More about G-3 contracts.
Org. Setting and Reporting These positions are located in the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus, Nicosia. The incumbent will report to the supervisor of the section or to his/her designate. Duties include driving Categories B, C & D vehicles (Heavy Goods Vehicles) and delivering of goods and services and making local deliveries and general maintenance of vehicles.
Responsibilities -Makes deliveries of parcels, documents, etc., between the office and other offices and institutions, e.g. Ministries, Embassies, Permanent Missions, etc. -Makes minor purchases and collect urgent purchases from local suppliers as requested. Collect goods from the customs with due regard to customs regulations and formalities. May make or collect payment for goods. -Drives vehicles safely for the transport of authorized personnel and, in the case of Peacekeeping missions, for the transport of general cargo goods. -Collects and delivers mail, documents, delivery of goods driving heavy trucks, loads and unloads cargo safely and receives instructions from appropriate sources. -Secures cargo for transportation and follows appropriate safety procedure while transporting heavy or dangerous goods by following all applicable traffic laws. -Meets official personnel at the airport. -Deals effectively and tactfully with officials and visitors. -Takes care of the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicles, check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.; perform minor repairs and arranges for other repairs and ensures that vehicle is kept clean. -Performs VIP and Standby Driver duties. -Logs fuel consumption, maintenance and records mileage and trips. -Ensures that the steps required by the guidelines, rules and regulations are taken in case of an accident or incident. -Acts as a team lead; assigns tasks/ shifts to junior drivers, collaborates with the team on assigned tasks. -Performs other duties as assigned.
