Morobe Development Foundation Inc(MDF) is trying to submit a proposal to the Pacific Conservation Development Trust Fund and wish to utilize the skills and experience of an online volunteer who is well versed in environmental mitigation practice, environmental preservation to support the writing of the project proposal in English. The online volunteer will be communicating with the focal contact person for Morobe Development Foundation Inc in English and support the organization in filling in the application template for this call. He or she must be good in proposal writing and have experience in writing a nature conservation proposal in the past. The organization will provide the online volunteer all the information needed to draft the proposal. The online volunteer will not be asked to submit any proposal on behalf of the organization neither asking for funds. The proposal is expected to be 500 words long and is about 3-4 pages long.

    Morobe Develoment Foundation Inc aim is to support any activities which promote development in the rural communities of Papua New Guinea with emphasize on Gender Equality, Human Rights, and sustainable development. With the increasing threat to the environment because of Global warming, MDF sees the environment as a critical factor in community development and a factor in human livelihood sustainability development. With that, the successful volunteer recruited will design an appropriate proposal for sustaining the mangroves, forest and wildlife preservation and coral sea preservation and rehabilitation. The volunteer will design a proposal appropriate for the preservation of the nature along the Huon Coast of Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea.

  • 6-10 hours per week / 4 weeks

    Candidates must have experience and knowledge in environmental preservation and mitigation. He or she must hold a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies, Arts or community development. The candidates must be able to write and speak good English. Knowledge of Japanese will be appreciated.
