You have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Data Management, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, Communications, Product Management, or other relevant disciplines.
- 4+ years of relevant progressive work experience in technology management, technical writing/communications, technology adoption, project management and/or product development.
- Relevant work experience in developing communities of practice is highly desirable.
- Experience with Palantir Foundry platform is a plus.
- Fluency (level C) in English language is mandatory.
- Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or WFP’s working language, Portuguese is desirable.

We are seeking to fill a remote working consultancy position of DOTS Product Adoption Manager.

WFP Technology Division (TEC, formerly known as IT) is the digital business engine of the World Food Programme, providing the business with multi-pronged and resilient technical capabilities able to respond with the agility required in humanitarian operations, be they man made or in a natural disaster setting. TEC Division continues to increase its activities to meet the constantly growing demand from the organization and implement the initiatives related to digital transformation.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The Technology Division (TEC) is establishing an enterprise operational decision-making platform called DOTS (please click here for more information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=1whh1mpLTFw) which is powered by the Palantir Foundry solution.
DOTS is at the centre of TEC’s data ecosystem integrating data from multiple data sources, transforming data to create a dynamic ontology representing WFP’s operational model and surfacing business insights to support decision-making.
Do you have a passion for community and end-user experience? We are seeking a DOTS Product Adoption Manager who has the breadth of skills and experience that will make our product loved by end-users - someone who can develop a profound understanding of the DOTS platform, a deep empathy for end-users and a clear vision of how to develop and grow a community of users.
Working with TECX DOTS teams and our Field Data Team, the incumbent will support the adoption of the DOTS platform by managing the end-to-end training service for DOTS users, creating a DOTS community program and tracking progress on DOTS achievements through a framework of success indicators.
Reporting to the DOTS Platform Lead in the TECX Unit, the role will have the impetus to enact real change in our constant efforts to keep users at the centre of our work. We are seeking thought experts who can challenge the status quo and embrace the social connections needed to grow a platform. Someone with a passion for customer experience, driving adoption through the entire product lifecycle and who can help establish a DOTS culture in WFP.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enhance the DOTS adoption and training plan for end-users, and coordinate, and plan for the implementation of the training in collaboration with TEC Organizational Development team.
- Expand on existing DOTS training material and ensure a library of DOTS content available for WFP staff of varying technical levels.
- Drive the product adoption lifecycle by collecting user feedback for the DOTS platform and incorporate inputs into the continuous improvement of the user experience.
- Develop, launch, and maintain a DOTS community engagement plan with the objective of strengthening data communities to foster growth of users on the DOTS platform, increase adoption of self-exploration data tools and continued focus on supporting business outcomes.
- Understand and advocate for customer needs in DOTS decision-making.
- Advocate for DOTS' role in WFP’s technology portfolio and help staff understand when & how to use it.
- Support the creation of DOTS communication material (in line with the Community engagement plan).
- Report issues for escalation when required and address critical aspects and identify opportunities for the product support model.
- Create and monitor indicators to provide metrics for DOTS adoption and produce and analyse statistics on the use of DOTS on a regular basis.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Data Management, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, Communications, Product Management, and other relevant disciplines.
Experience
- 4+ years of relevant progressive work experience in technology management, technical writing/communications, technology adoption, project management and/or product development.
- Relevant work experience in developing communities of practice is highly desirable
- Experience with Palantir Foundry platform is a plus.
- Proven experience in engaging with stakeholders using various channels
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives to drive customer adoption
