Develop and support UN Web Portal applications and Careers Portal integration.
You have:
- A university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, mathematics, IT or related field.
- 3 years of experience in development and support of web application projects.
- Exposure or knowledge in any one RDBMS (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
- Proficient in ASP.NET using Visual Studio, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Web Services, XML, AJAX, Internet, Intranet and Client Server technologies.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Result of Service - Resolve Tier-2 support requests raised by end-users related to the Careers Portal and other UN Web Portal applications. - Provide maintenance, support, and development to the Careers Portal and other UN Web Portal as desired by the business or end users. - Provide complete support and development of the integration between Portal and target systems. - To upgrade and support the careers portal framework to its latest version - To support Careers Portal YPP changes. - To support Inspira to Careers Portal data feed activities. - To support technical issues arising from the Careers Portal integration with Inspira.

Duties and Responsibilities - Design and develop changes in assigned Careers Portal and other UN Web Portal projects to meet the dates and objectives using knowledge of complete development life cycle from analysis to deployment. - Assist the business in defining the right technical portal architecture to support the business requirements. - Participate in the preparation of all documents related to project development. - Apply in-depth knowledge of ASP.NET (C#, VB.NET), SQL, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Visual Studio, Web Services, XML, AJAX, Internet, Intranet and Client Server technologies for Portal integration to various systems. - Design data model/working with relation databases; i.e. MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL. - Carry out assignments and technical tasks in collaboration with a cross-functional team of developers, DBA, business analysts and quality assurance staffs. - Represent the team in a professional manner when dealing with internal and external clients. - Ensure that the service provided adheres to the operational standards for quality and timeliness.
Qualifications/special skills A university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, mathematics, IT or related field. A degree/diploma in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the university degree. 3 years of experience in development and support of web application projects Exposure or knowledge in any one RDBMS (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) Proficient in ASP.NET using Visual Studio, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Web Services, XML, AJAX, Internet, Intranet and Client Server technologies.
Languages Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
