This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of Planning and Grant Management Unit, the UNV Donor Relations and Reporting Support Officer will:

1- Draft, review and provide quality assurance for technical donor reports, proposals, modification requests, and any other type of fundraising documents and ensure their timely submission;

2-. Establish and monitor the plan of submission of technical and financial reports by donor, program area technical focal point and deadline of submission;

3- Support the development of donor briefs, background papers for a diverse array of activities for senior management

4- Work closely with the Country Office Communication team to maintain updated the visibility and advocacy plan of work by donor and present the visibility and advocacy products to external partners through reports and /or ad-hoc briefings.

Educational additional comments

Essential: Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Pharmacy, Social Sciences, Arts or any other relevant areas.

Desirable: Master Degree and Advanced Studies in related area.

Experience remark

Essential: At least 2 years of experience in combination of the following areas: reports writing, drafting of correspondences, resource mobilization, project management etc.

Desirable: Experience in working with UN or International/ Local NGOs.

Other Required Technical Knowledge:

  • Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills;
  • Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development;

  • Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
  • Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment;
  • Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;

  • English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
  • Arabic(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
