The Human Resources Management Section (HRMS) of (organization) supports staff engagement and organizational effectiveness through clear and impactful internal communication. Strengthening internal communication channels is essential to ensure staff are informed, engaged, and aligned with organizational priorities. This assignment focuses on supporting the development and dissemination of internal communication materials, promoting HR initiatives, and enhancing engagement among staff members. The Online Volunteer will contribute to adapting global HR messages to the local context, maintaining branding consistency, and exploring innovative approaches to improve internal communication effectiveness.
We are looking for Online Volunteer/s who, under the guidance of the HR team and in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders, will support inclusive outreach, diversity monitoring, and workplace inclusion initiatives. In particular, the Online Volunteer will: • Support the identification of networks, platforms, and organizations representing persons with disabilities and other underrepresented groups to strengthen outreach collaboration; • Draft inclusive, accessible outreach messages to promote ECA job openings and internships; • Assist in maintaining and updating outreach contact lists and activity tracking tools; • Review job postings to ensure the use of gender-sensitive and disability-inclusive language; • Support the monitoring of gender balance and representation of persons with disabilities in recruitment trends, where data is available; • Assist in preparing internal summaries, reports, or presentations on diversity trends in recruitment; • Conduct desk research on inclusive recruitment and internship practices across the UN system and similar organizations; • Contribute to the development of knowledge products such as fact sheets and case studies on outreach and diversity; • Assist in compiling recommendations to enhance workplace accessibility, including assistive technologies and reasonable accommodations; • Support initiatives that promote awareness of disability inclusion within ECA; • Contribute to the planning and organization of outreach events, webinars, and awareness campaigns related to inclusion and diversity.
The Online Volunteer/s will gain hands-on experience in inclusive HR practices, diversity and outreach strategies, and contribute to advancing equitable recruitment and workplace inclusion within the organization.
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: • have completed the final year of a Bachelor’s degree programme. A background in communication, graphic design, or content creation is considered an asset. While professional work experience is not required, applicants should have a field of study relevant to the assignment. Candidates should demonstrate: • Strong written and verbal communication skills; • Basic skills in visual content creation and formatting; • Creativity and interest in internal communications; • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt content for different audiences.
