BACKGROUND

WFP operates the Humanitarian Booking Hub, an innovative 24/7 online booking platform for guesthouses, UNDSS listed hotels, UN vehicles, COVID-19 emergency flights, UNHAS flights, UN Clinics, and UN counselors from 7 UN Agencies.

WFP also develops and operates the Fleet Centre platform which has digitally transformed and streamlined the leasing of light vehicles from global WFP operations.

PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The Senior Digital Manager, Humanitarian Booking Hub, will be reporting to the Humanitarian Booking Hub Digital Manager, Davide Picistrelli. He will be responsible for the following duties:

Global Asset Disposal digital platform development

    • Gather internal clients’ functional requirements to digital transform asset disposal management.
    • Support defining technical requirements to digitalize the requested processes;
    • Design new site features (i.e. asset disposal front-end, auction management, auction reporting, country offices customized features, etc.);
    • Support identification and preparation of technical features to allow platform common service.

Aviation services digital transformation

  • Support the development and roll-out of digital transformation for the Global Passenger Air Services to allow the automation of financial transactions and reporting;
  • Assist in developing and rolling out new digital services to allow UN staff to book UNHAS country-based services.

Humanitarian Booking Hub platform

    • Support develop and roll out improved data security measures particularly with data encryption;
    • Gather requirements to define a structured data privacy management for all the services lines of the Humanitarian Booking Hub;
    • Support implementation and roll-out of cross services features to improve the user experience and the accountability of the Digital Office;
    • Support the Humanitarian Booking Hub manager in coordinating the pool of external developers per service line across WFP internal functions and UN Agencies;
    • Keep updated master development plan with forecasted and actual costs to feed the budget planning, request, and optimized use;
    • Support managing WFP IT technical supervision and its internal approval governance such as the demand board and the architectural board;
    • Aid in managing technical resources and procedures and outsourced suppliers also from the procurement point of view.

Hub first-line technical support

  • Ensure platform continuity of service by interfacing TEC for any needed support and platform fault preparedness;
  • Minimize reputational risks by mitigating in any possible way and with innovative tools and processes possible platform defaults (i.e. mail servers).

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related fields.

    • Digital Marketing courses and qualifications are considered an asset.

    Experience:

  • Minimum 5-years post-graduate experience with product/project management.

  • Knowledge of Product and Project Management methodologies and tools.

    • Ability to manage Stakeholders also at senior levels.

    Languages:

  • Proficiency in English - written, spoken, and oral comprehension.
