In accordance with the Private Sector Fundraising strategy, UNICEF Serbia plans to use digital communication for private fundraising and partnership on acquisition of new one-off donors and pledge donors. More effective use of digital communication represents a valuable opportunity for UNICEF in terms of both brand engagement and income generation, offering new and cost-efficient ways to reach supporters and engage them in support of UNICEF’s work in Serbia.

The purpose of this assignment is to secure the expertise support to UNICEF Serbia to generate income through digital engagement for fundraising. The contractor will provide the office with a specialized support in driving income with the optimized fundraising opportunities through UNICEF’s online fundraising platforms (www.unicef.org/serbia; www.donacije.unicef.rs), as well as through social media channels.

Work Assignment Overview:

The contractor will oversee the day-to-day management and development of the above-mentioned platforms and assist in the planning and coordination of fundraising campaigns in close collaboration with the Communication section.

Duration of the assignment: July 2022 – June 2023 (full-time, office based)

Detailed task description:

  1. Set up the necessary tracking for digital marketing activities and prepare digital fundraising and analytic reports on an ongoing basis;
  2. Create campaign-specific landing pages for fundraising campaigns, focusing on acquisition one-off and pledge donors;
  3. Manage and implement digital analytics, CRO, attribution and A/B testing solutions as required, working with agencies where appropriate, alongside both HQ teams and markets;
  4. Support e-marketing and e-fundraising campaigns focusing on acquisition of UNICEF’s supporters;
  5. Search engine optimization – analyse, review and implement changes to websites so they are optimized for search engines;
  6. Ensure data capture (email addresses and mobile numbers) through every page on the websites.

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:

  • University degree in Marketing, Advertising, Digital Fundraising, or other relevant filed is required. Any other additional training in a related field is an asset.
  • At least three years of progressively responsible work experience in digital campaigns, marketing and digital sales or fundraising areas, with specific focus on areas such as digital acquisition, cultivation and retention of customers/donors, integrated media planning, and marketing communications and multi-channel campaign management. It would be an advantage if the person had gained the above experience in both agency and charity environments.
  • Experience in the following technical areas is required: analytics and tracking, A/B testing, CRO, SEO, SEM, online paid media, web and donation forms development, UX.
  • The following experience is desirable: Salesforce, coding, content management systems, search engine marketing, marketing automation tools and e-mail broadcasting tools.
  • Fluency in both English and Serbian is required.
