Overview

Design and develop online courses on Green Technologies and Business Models.

You have:

  • At least 5 years of professional work experience in designing online courses using Digital Technology, editing Software Packages (Articulate 360, Storyline 360, Rise 360), experience in Adobe Cloud suite of products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office or/and other related experience is required.
  • Experience in Multimedia, Video Editing and Animation is required.
  • Knowledge of the latest technology and digital equipment to achieve the required results is desirable.

Contract

This is a UNV National Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Specialist contracts.

Brief context of the Project: The Regional Training Programme for Green Technologies and Business Models, implemented by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, aims to foster a culture of sustainable innovation across the Arab region. Through courses on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), renewable energy, agricultural technologies and digital agricultural technologies, participants will gain knowledge and practical tools to develop impactful and environmentally friendly solutions that can drive sustainable development.

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Knowledge Management Team leader (KM) and the Strategy, Planning, Accountability, Results, and Knowledge Section SPARK/OES and ESCWA Technology Center (ETC)] or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Digital Designer will:

• Develop and design online courses related to Green Technologies and Business Models: Digital Agricultural Technologies • Prepare storyboards for the initial stages of course production, using new and artistic techniques and existing editing software packages (Articulate 360, Storyline 360, Rise 360). • Research visual identity and branding to create a strong brand identity for the online courses. • Create and execute, in the official languages of ESCWA, all requested products (videos, storylines, interactive exercises, scenarios, posters, brochures, electronic files such as interactive PDFs), using editing software and Adobe software packages such as InDesign CC, Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, Acrobat CC, Adobe XD, HTML, CSS, Word, Excel, etc. • Edit online content to support organizational goals and messaging themes, incorporating innovative techniques and styles and bringing a unique and artistic perspective to the project. • Manipulate and edit videos, insert voice-overs and scripts, add sound effects, bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive story, and correct errors using editing equipment and software packages such as Premiere Pro, Acrobat Pro, and more. • Utilize After Effects and 3D effects experience to add dynamic elements and visual enhancements to the project. • Create infographics from information submitted by the client to help communicate complex information simply. • Assist in other ad-hoc activities as instructed.

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. This position is based in (Beirut). National UN Volunteers are part of the malicious insurance plan. National UN Volunteers are expected to be culturally sensitive and adjust to the prevailing culture and traditions.

National UN Specialist Volunteers in Lebanon are entitled to:
