Contract
This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.
The Health Section of UNICEF Pakistan supports the Government of Pakistan through Routine Immunization, supplementary campaigns, and health system strengthening initiatives. Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization (ACSM) remains a key component of these efforts, focusing on increasing awareness, improving service uptake, and engaging communities through mass media, digital platforms, and community-based approaches. The assignment will support the design and development of communication materials under national ACSM plans in coordination with Federal and Provincial EPI programmes. In line with ongoing GAVI-supported immunization interventions, there is a sustained requirement to develop high-quality, standardized, and visually engaging ACSM materials to support demand generation and address vaccine hesitancy. The volume and rapid turnaround of design needs across campaigns and routine immunization activities necessitate dedicated in-house capacity within the Health Section to respond effectively to an evolving communications landscape. Moreover, frequent revisions to ACSM materials driven by ad hoc partner requests further require timely updates and repurposing. Given these constraints, reliance on external vendors for immediate turnaround is not always feasible. The programme therefore intends to engage one UNV as Visual Content Creator to support the development of impactful, culturally appropriate, and accessible visual content. Establishing inhouse capacity will ensure responsiveness, continuity, and quality assurance in content development. This position is designed to complement, existing vendor arrangements, while strengthening the Health Section’s internal capacity. The UNV will also gain practical experience in applying design to public health programming, social and behavior change, and humanitarian coordination within a high-impact immunization programme.
The UNV will be responsible for the following:
• Design and develop IEC and digital communication materials including posters, brochures, flyers, banners, roll-ups, and social media assets • Develop infographics, data visualizations, and layouts for reports and presentations • Translate technical health and immunization content into simple, visually engaging formats for different target audiences • Support development of digital campaign materials including static creatives, short videos, GIFs, and social media content • Ensure compliance with UNICEF branding guidelines and donor visibility requirements • Adapt and localize materials for different provinces, languages, and audience groups • Support design of advocacy and event materials including backdrops, toolkits, and campaign branding assets • Coordinate with Health and SBC teams to align materials with ACSM plans and campaign priorities • Maintain a repository of approved communication materials and templates • Revise and update materials based on feedback from technical teams • Support rapid design needs during campaigns and priority activities
