Result of Service The United Nations Information Centres (UNIS) are the primary information media of the United Nations System in the countries where United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) operates. The UNICs are responsible for promoting a better public understanding of the Secretary-General priorities and the impact of the United Nations' work. Besides, UNICs lead the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) and Resident Coordination Office (RCO) communication and advocacy functions. The United Nations Information Centres are part of the UN Department of Global Communications, United Nations Secretariat. The main objective of this consultancy is to support the communication and outreach actions of the United Nations Information Centre by developing the assets and contents for the digital media of the UN Panama social media, keeping updated the channels always under the supervision and prior approval of the Information Officer. In addition, the incumbent must prepare social media monthly reports, update the website, and perform other duties.

Work Location UN Information Centre, located in Panama City, in City of Knowledge at the UN House Building.

Expected duration This position is for 6 months

Duties and Responsibilities Under the leadership of the National Officer of the UN Information Centre in Panama, the consultant shall: 1. Under the supervision of the UNIC Information Officer, draft and identity content for the UN Panama social media channels: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. 2. Identify, develop, and adjust social media assets to accompany the written content for social media. 3. Keep updated UNCT Panama website when requested and under the supervision of the UNIC Information Officer. 4. Support developing infographics, presentations and other materials when requested by the UNIC information officer and the RCO 5. Prepare the monthly reports on the social media performance based on the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) monitored by DGC. 6. Daily monitor the Trello board to keep ahead of the UN Secretary-General's communication priorities for social media. 7. Support in the organization of virtual and face-to-face events when necessary, supporting counterparts, and guests, among others, in the follow-up.

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in graphic design, communication, digital marketing, advertising, and/or related fields. . Experience: 1. Four years of experience working in communication, writing for social media and/or mass media is required 2. Experience designing materials for social media or similar materials using illustrator, photoshop, or similar is required. 3. Experience working with CANVA is required. 4. Fluency in Microsoft Office programs like Excel, Word, and Powerpoint required. 5. Some knowledge of other graphic designer tools like Photoshop, illustrator and/or InDesign will be valuable positively. 6. Previous experience working with the United Nations agencies, programs and funds is desirable Language: Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish. Knowledge of English is desirable.

Additional Information This consultancy will be performed during the working hours of 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at least three days a week.
