El Salvador’s country programme is strategically aligned to support all 10 priorities identified in the Government’s Social Development Plan 2019–2024 and to contribute to the implementation of all seven result areas of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), 2022–2026, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the UNICEF Strategic Plan, 2022–2025. The country programme will contribute to the implementation of the concluding observations of the Committee on the Rights of the Child on the combined fifth and sixth periodic reports of El Salvador of 2018 and their follow-up. The programme is designed to address the principal threats to the rights of children, which have been aggravated by the effects of the COVID-19 crisis, through its four core components: 1. Health, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene 2. Transformation of the education sector 3. Child protection 4. Inclusive social protection

The communication team through its communication strategy and public advocacy at the global and national level works closely with Programmes to support the programmatic priorities of the country office to promote the rights of every child. The UNV Digital Communication Specialist will work under the supervision of the Communication Specialist (NOC) providing support to the implementation of communication and advocacy strategies.

Under the supervision of Communication Specialist (NOC) the UNV is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the digital communication strategy.

-Design, implementation and monitoring of a digital communication plan within the framework of UNICEF's communication strategy in the country and that adequately integrates social media, website and other innovative digital communication channels, which must be presented at the beginning and must include campaigns (with their respective concepts) to be implemented in the period of the contract.
-Administration of UNICEF El Salvador's social media platforms, forums, web, blogs, online surveys or other initiatives that may be implemented in the digital environment, including the general management of content, development and growth, monitoring and follow-up and incorporation of innovations. -Implement and adapt, if necessary, UNICEF global and regional campaigns and materials involving digital media. -Coordination and follow up with monitoring and advertising provider for social media. -Support and/or advise in the management of other web pages or social media associated with the different UNICEF programs. -Update and maintain the digital photo and video gallery. -Update and maintain the repository of editable files of UNICEF publications. -Maintain an updated digital archive with the metrics of all social networks that UNICEF El Salvador has, the metrics of the web and other digital initiatives to be carried out.
