Produce and edit videos for UN social media campaigns
You have:
- BA in Digital Media, Social Media Production, Social Marketing, Video Production, Film, Multimedia, Journalism, Advertising, Media Arts or related field is required
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience in social media video production and post-production
- Experience working for international organizations, design firm, advertising or in-house creative department is required
- Expertise in creative copywriting and scriptwriting for social media video is required
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere is required
- Basic knowledge of After Effects / motion graphics is required
- Excellent knowledge of English is required
- Intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is desirable
Result of Service - Delivery of 10 social media videos for global advocacy campaigns and UN evergreen topics, adaptable for languages
As a final deliverable, provide each video in English with text, mp4; video with no text to allow for translations; text template of video for future re-use; all project files with layers clearly marked up in Adobe Premiere and/or After Effects

Expected duration 6 months
Duties and Responsibilities - Script, produce and edit short-form campaign videos (9:16, 1:1, primarily 10-second, 30-second and 1-min cuts) for the UN’s Global Social Media accounts around its key priority campaigns, predominantly Instagram and Twitter
Find emerging social video and content trends to participate in when it makes sense for the UN around its key campaign areas and pitch new ideas
Script creative copy for video centered around call-to-actions or key messages around the UN’s global campaigns. This includes breaking down complex concepts into engaging language to raise awareness and inspire actions for positive change.
Research and source footage, images and audio (including trending sounds on social)
Script and storyboard video based on key messages provided. Allow for two rounds of feedback.
Research and source footage, images and audio (including trending sounds on social). UN to license footage, image and audio, where needed.
Production includes soundmixing, colour balancing, subtitling and simple motion graphics. Production may include voiceover and/or speaking on camera (not required).
As a final deliverable, provide each video in English with text, mp4; video with no text to allow for translations; text template of video for future re-use; all project files with layers clearly marked up in Adobe Premiere and/or After Effects.
Campaign topics can include, but are not limited to, Water Conference, Countering Hate Speech, Sustainable Development Goals, Climate Action, Peace and Security and general social evergreen videos.
Coordinate with relevant units (social media and video units), as needed
Qualifications/special skills - BA in Digital Media, Social Media Production, Social Marketing, Video Production, Film, Multimedia, Journalism, Advertising, Media Arts or related field is required
At least 5+ years of relevant experience in social media video production and post-production, ideally with a campaigns and advocacy marketing lens is required
Experience working for international organizations, design firm, advertising or in-house creative department is required
Expertise in creative copywriting and scriptwriting for social media video required (e.g. Explainers, PSAs, Campaign Videos, etc) is required
Expertise in Adobe Premiere is required
Basic knowledge of After Effects / motion graphics is required
Languages Excellent knowledge of English is required. An intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is desirable.
