- 2 years of professional experience or internship in direct marketing, online marketing or advertising, analytics, or business intelligence suggested.
- Fluency in spoken and written English required, another UN language is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is a must.
- Proficiency with social media analytics tools such as Facebook & Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, PowerBI, and Power Apps is a must.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Manages social and digital data systems, reporting and analytics. Works with the team to forecast Key Performance Indicators and provides actionable recommendations on how the team can achieve its goals. This role also includes community management and involvement in crisis communications as needed.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the general supervision and guidance of the Social Media Coordinator, the Digital Analyst will be responsible for the following key duties:
Social Media, Digital Metrics, and Data Analysis
- Assists in developing analytic strategies and methodologies to ensure successful measurement, optimization and forecast of Key Performance Indicator(s).
- Supports the team in synthesizing content performance, as well as campaign datasets for clear, actionable next recommendations.
- Manages and improves the existing analytics insights and tagging systems, PowerBI and Power Apps.
- Works with the Digital Campaign Manager to design and implement in-market tests, interpret results, and provide meaningful insights to CAM and internal teams.
- Keeps the team current on social media analytics changes, trends, and tools, and improve WFP analytics systems as needed with industry trends.
Reporting
- Reports on all metrics and data related to WFP social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok. This includes Global channel growth and post-performance. This includes weekly informal reports, quarterly reports, annual performance reports, campaign reports (2-3 times per year).
- Acts as the focal point for other teams within CAM, specifically the Measurement & Evaluation team, who rely on social media data for departmental impact reporting.
Social Listening
- Manages dashboard creation and day-to-day data pulls within the WFP enterprise social listening platform, Brand watch.
- Using brand watch, the analyst will monitor the WFP brand and relevant news and social media mentions, and overall WFP share of voice.
- Escalate any issues in a timely fashion, liaising with different departments for community management of their specific social media engagements
- Implement optimizations to existing content on WFP YouTube channel: craft optimized meta titles, descriptions and tags.
- Performing ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities.
- Researching and content recommendations for organic SEO success.
Community Management
- Implements strategies to encourage engagement and grow the WFP digital communities.
- Using Brand Watch and other social listening tools, monitors and makes recommendations to the social media team as to which conversations should be entered to increase WFP’s brand presence and digital share of voice.
- Be able to assist in posting or testing new formats directly in the social media apps as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a relevant statistical field.
Experience:
- 2 years of professional experience or internship in direct marketing, online marketing or advertising, analytics, or business intelligence suggested
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is a must
- Proficiency with social media analytics tools such as Facebook & Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, PowerBI, and Power Apps is a must.
- Experience web analytics solutions (e.g. Omniture, Google Analytics), data mining and statistical analysis tools (e. g., SQL, SAS, SPSS, R) is a plus.
- Prior experience with Boolean search social listening tools such as Crimson Hexagon, Brand watch, Social Studio etc. preferred.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills are a must, experience with data visualization considered a huge plus.
- Highly motivated, self-directed individual with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to details
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and analytically; communicate - written and oral persuasively; and work in cross-functional teams effectively
- Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills a must.
Language:
- Fluency in spoken and written English required, another UN language is a plus.
