Contract

This is a P-1 contract. This kind of contract is known as Professional and Director staff. It is normally internationally recruited only. It's a staff contract. It usually requires 1 years of experience, depending on education.

Salary

The salary for this job should be between 60,290 USD and 83,321 USD.

Salary for a P-1 contract in Amman

The international rate of 44,593 USD, with an additional 35.2% (post adjustment) at this the location, applies. Please note that depending on the location, a higher post adjustment might still result in a lower purchasing power.

This opportunity is open to WHO staff members who hold continuing and fixed-term appointments in all staff categories, and who have served at least two years in their current position, as specified in the Policy on STDAs.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

The main responsibilities related to the development assignment are as follows:

  • Developing a detailed costing document, as per WHO processes and activity costing approach, a 5 year financial plan for operationalization of partnerships in health emergencies in EMR through:
  • Gathering information from work plan/s of WHE on partnerships
  • Identifying, jointly with EMO/WHE partnerships team, set of key activities (both recurring and specific)
  • Review GSM requirements for adaptation of a multi-year costing plan
  • Preparing a costing template (preferably in MS Excel) which includes cost of events logistics, cost of workforce to be engaged, materials to be used, venue and other necessary support activities
  • Drafting 1st draft of the detailed costing to seek inputs from the supervising staff, incorporating the feedback and submitting the final document ​​​​​​​

REMUNERATION

Your current contractual arrangements and benefits will not be affected. If your developmental assignment involves a short-term move to another duty station, you will receive the hotel component of the first 60 days DSA rate of the duty station where you will be temporarily based throughout the entire assignment. Travel costs in economy class will be covered.
