The Humanitarian Coordination Foundation Programme is a foundational programme for new OCHA staff. The new updated version of the course follows an external review and is planned to provide a comprehensive overview on OCHA’s mandate, operational processes and coordination role. The structure of the programme comprises an online 4-6 week programme, a workshop and an applied project.

The Learning and Development team along with a cross functional team seeks one Online Volunteer to support development of the updated online course in English; and one Online Volunteer to support development of the online course in French. The course will most likely consist of 3 Lessons, each Lesson with 3-4 units/modules, for a total of 8-10-hour learning.

For English: the online volunteer will be provided with contents and proposed interactions in a story-board format in English. She/He will develop the course using Articulate authoring tool ‘Rise’. The assignment should be completed online, with an ideal start in mid-end August.

For French: the online volunteer will be provided with contents and proposed interactions in a story-board format in English and French. Some contents will require prior translation into French. The online Volunteer will work under the primary guidance of the learning and development team. The applicants should please specify if they apply for the task in English or in French.

The online volunteers should: • Have a working knowledge of Articulate 360. • Have experience with Instructional Design. • Be familiar with the Moodle platform. • Have excellent English and French language proficiency. • Have attention to details. • Experience with graphic design is desirable. • A good understanding of humanitarian-related topics is a plus.
