Development of 3 Short Data Publications (Snapshots)

UNICEF is looking for one volunteer to support the development and finalization of three data snapshots; a short data-oriented publication to be elaborated and circulated among partners. The task is going to be conducted under the guidance of the Social policy Specialist and the Social Policy Officer.

  UNICEF supports the government of Egypt in generating new evidence that includes analysis of new data as well as secondary analysis of existing data to provide insights into issues that deserve the attention of all stakeholders. Following this rationale, UNICEF aims at Increasing the use of data on children for policy and programme action by providing regular analysis through the production of a series of data snapshots covering various child-related issues. The Data Snapshots provides accessible and visually appealing overviews of issues related to children and youth in Egypt, supported by up-to-date data. It also provides information on what UNICEF is doing to address such issues. Each snapshot is produced by UNICEF Egypt using recent evidence and integrating data from multiple sources. The series aims to provide better understanding and encourage deeper discussion on issues important to children and youth.

• Volunteers: 1 needed

• 11-20 hours per week / 14 weeks

  Extensive experience in research and policy analysis methodologies. Excellent analytical and writing skills, and the ability to present the results in a simple language, making use of visual aids (maps, graphs and other visual tools). Master’s Degree in areas of Statistics, Economics, Data Science, International Relations, and similar is desirable. The volunteer needs to be fluent in both Arabic and English languages.
