FAO has announced that unless bold actions are taken to address food insecurity and malnutrition, hunger will not be eradicated by 2030. While addressing food insecurity, crop diversity need to take into account as only 9 crops account for 66% of total crop production in entire world.

Our project thus helps to address the issue of crop diversity which may further helps in solving many agricultural problems. Moreover, this project emphasizes on local actions. Pertaining to responsible consumption, this project encourages sharing an agri-food amongst each other which may set good example of circular economy. This project is thus contributing to SDG2, SDG8, SDG12, SDG13 and SDG15.

For the self-sustainability and food security of a village in Washim district of India, we are developing a project and for this we seek support from 3 online volunteers, who under the guidance of Focal Point will prepare detailed project plan on responsible agri-food production and consumption. Agri-food Production may involve emphasizing on crop-diversity whereas consumption may involve encouraging circular economy by sharing locally produced agri-food item with each other.

To do this 3 online volunteers will be assigned the given task-

a) First Online Volunteer Work on mapping the need of entire village for agri-food items. To do this, the online volunteer is responsible for: a. drafting a questionnaire for survey b. conceptualizing and making the working model of circular economy c. data analysis and mapping the need of village

b) Second Online Volunteer On the basis of need of entire village, the online volunteer will work on estimating the total land requirement and the number of farmers involvement to cultivate each crop. Also, to suggest the multiple cropping pattern which can be taken simultaneously in one farm. To make a project holistic this online volunteer may locate all the details pertaining to crop-diversity.

c) Third Online Volunteer Help in preparing a comprehensive business model on this project. On the basis of demand and supply, the online volunteer will work on preparing budget. Help in preparing a comprehensive M&E plan, impact assessment, and outcome mapping.

Online Volunteer 1: Candidates should have in-depth understanding of concept of data collection through survey and experience in conducting qualitative/quantitative data collection.

Online Volunteer 2: Candidates should be from agricultural education background with knowledge of circular economy, crop diversity, food security, etc. He/she should be good at developing good project proposals.

Online Volunteer 3: Candidate should have good knowledge of developing business model, preparing project proposals, monitoring and evaluations and budgeting.

Candidates with relevant educational background and experience will be given a preference.
