In June - September 2021, AccLab will host a number of webinars with leading experts in the area of strategic foresight. The online volunteers will be requested to support this work by capturing the substance of the webinars, making analytical conclusions and recommendations based on the content of the webinars. In addition, the online volunteers will be required to find relevant literature, publications, and reports related to organizing strategic foresight functions in governments across the world, analyze these documents and prepare analytical conclusions and recommendations. The online volunteers will participate in interviews with Ukrainian and international foresight experts, draft transcripts of these interviews and prepare analytical conclusions and recommendations. These tasks will be distributed among the three online volunteers one each.

    Accelerator Lab of UNDP Ukraine is exploring the opportunities to promote the application of public sector innovation methods in the Ukrainian public sector, in particular strategic foresight. Purpose of this work: - Get acquainted with the practice of working with the future (foresight) in parliaments and government agencies across the world - Consider real examples of foresight processes and discuss methodological and organizational approaches. - Discuss priority foresight methods for the public sector of Ukraine (VRU, executive branch), possible difficulties, institutional and legal constraints, and necessary resources (skills, team, partnerships). - Create interest in this method as an applied tool for public policy development - Lay the groundwork for a foresight community in the public sector

  • Volunteers: 3 needed

  • 20+ hours per week / 20 weeks

- At least 2 years of professional experience obtained after graduation on Bachelor's Level preferred - At least Bachelor's degree in public administration / public policy / politics etc. - Knowledge of public sector innovation methods - Knowledge of basics of strategic foresight / strategic analysis / scenario planning - Fluent Ensligh - Fluent Ukrainian - Good writing skills If you are interested in this opportunity, kindly explain how you meet these requirements in your response.
