You have:

  • 2-5 years of experience in research and/or proposal writing or interior design.
  • Excellent English writing skills required for the Proposal Writer role.
  • Advanced skills in using a 3D design/modeling software necessary.
  • Previous experience in conceptualizing and/or designing innovative office spaces is an asset.

The UNV Regional Office for Arab States (ROAS) is looking for 2 online volunteers to support with the conceptualization and design of an innovation space within its offices. The first online volunteer (Proposal Writer) is requested to help with preparing a concept note (3-5 pages), suggesting up to 3 ideas/alternatives for an innovation space. The concept note should enable the UNV ROAS to set up an innovation space which facilitates cross-country collaboration, virtual communication and the application of on-site and online innovative engagement methods to advance volunteering for the 2030 Agenda, and in support of humanitarian, peace and development efforts of UN partners. The second online volunteer (Interior Designer) is requested to assist with the actual designs for the innovation space based on the final concept resulting from the above.

    The UNV Regional Office for Arab States (ROAS) is planning to set up an innovation space within its offices to facilitate cross-country collaboration, virtual communication and the application of on-site and online innovative engagement methods to advance volunteering for the 2030 Agenda, and in support of humanitarian, peace and development efforts of UN partners. The concept note should follow this outline: (i) ROAS team composition; (ii) purpose of the innovation space; (iii) objectives of the space: enhance virtual audience engagement; stimulate innovative thinking and discussions among the team and with UN Volunteers in Jordan; and (iv) success criteria (3-5 bullet points). The design should ensure to (i) serve the purpose and objectives set in the final concept to be approved by ROAS; (ii) remain within the allocated budget; and (iii) meet success criteria.

  • 11-20 hours per week / 3 weeks

    1) Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in one of the following domains: (i) research and/or proposal writing, and (ii) interior design. 2) Excellent English writing skills for the Proposal Writer. 3) Advanced skills in using a 3D design/modelling software. 4) Previous experience in conceptualizing and/or designing innovative office spaces is an asset.
