Development of culturally appropriate curriculum to support the acquisition of English language proficiency for children with disabilities. Working from an outcomes-based framework, you will align detailed materials, activities, and assessments that meet the needs of on-the-ground tutors while also supporting the personal and social development of learners. Responsibilities: Curriculum development, refinement, and adaptation according to feedback. Alignment of curricular resources with educational best practices and the unique learning needs of rural children new to the English language. Guided by the belief that every child deserves an equal right to education; we provide online and on-the-ground literacy solutions to less fortunate children and youth and those with disabilities.

• Volunteers: 6 needed

• 1-5 hours per week / 26 weeks

  Professional background in the area of education, including knowledge and several years’ experience in curriculum development and/or instructional design. Applicants will be teaching and training the tutors. Preference will be given to retired teachers.
